Pubcast Episode 16

Coral Cove Resort is the scene again for the recording where we enjoyed a few beers as we dove into the world of sport with a decidedly Queensland flavour.

The game of Cricket was first on the list again with no kind words being given to the Australian Cricket side, Mickey Arthur or Cricket Australia. How are they getting it so wrong? With no Queensland Bulls or Brisbane Heat players making the All Star sides even after holding the Big Bash, Ryobi ODI cup and playing in the Sheffield Shield Final, we give a few ideas. Form should be thebenchmark for any national selection and this just isn't happening.

To another game where things off the field are not going well, the NRL, at least on the field there are some good performances. We cover the Titans, Cowboys & Broncos games last week concentrating on the Titans & Broncos after their great wins. The Cowboys were that dismal there was not much to say.

The Grey Fox drops a line from Moonee Valley with his tips for the weekend.

Unfortunately the tip was scratched this morning so save the money until next week. Gamble responsibly and if you need help contact www.gamblinghelponline.org.au/

Rugby Union is in the spotlights but with a week to pass since the Reds loss it has given time for Johnnyjojoshabadoo to cool down. We didn't forget about the unbalanced use of the "advantage" rule though. Seems a ref is not too popular with England either after Wales won.

A big thanks goes out to Bobbie Goulding & Impressions Art UK who have donated items for the Bundaberg Sports Flood Appeal.  Also recommend everyone listens to the interview Bobbie did talking about his career and what went wrong after he stopped playing, how he has reformed - Bobbie Goulding on TalkSport

As always we finish with the awards and it seems that Rugby gets a bit of a mention although the Channel 9's effort in the NRL is getting close.

A surprising song to finish as we chose a Bee Gees classic.
