Suarez Shines

Liverpool took on Stoke City in the Quarter-finals of the Carling Cup and came away victorious.  Although going beind 0-1 in the first half through a defensive lapse, the second half was to be Suarez's time to shine.

Love him or hate him you cannot deny this guy has immense talent.  It only took nine minutes into the second half for that talent to come through and shine in what may be one of the best goals of the season.  When Suarez is on the field something always looks like it is going to happen.  In the last few games opportunities have not been converted and it was only a matter of time for the luck to start turning.  All Liverpool needed to do was to keep faith in their playing structure and style and persist.  It will only take a game or two in a row and things will start consistantly falling their way.  Luck is always a factor in sport but any sportsman at any level will tell you that you make your own luck.

Watch the Scorcher of a Goal by Suarez here.

I have had a hard time convincing my son to follow Liverpool FC, mainly for the fact he is only 8 and loves watching Messi play.  I am thinking if he starts seeing more and more highlights like this one he will start following the right team

If Liverpool can keep up this sort of play it might not be long before we LFC supporters start seeing some Silverware being won.  The climb back to the top looks like it is gaining momentum.

Need a league post. Upcoming 4 nations analysis? Maybe touch on next season signings (even Carney)?
